Ben Johnson BVetMed MRCVS – Bournemouth / Salisbury
Ben graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2001. Apart from one year in rural mixed practice Ben has focussed his career on small animal surgery and medicine. He has travelled extensively and seen practice in America as well as the United Kingdom. He has furthered his knowledge and skills through continual training in order that he can remain at the forefront of advances in the veterinary field. His belief in being able to provide affordable, quality care to pet owners led him to develop The Pet Practice. He lives locally in Sturminster Marshall and in his spare time enjoys walking his two Australian Cattle Dogs whilst also getting out on the water when time allows. Lucinda Nash BVSc BSc MRCVS – Bournemouth / Salisbury
Lu graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2007, studying veterinary science after completing a Zoology degree. Lu spent the first six months after graduating in mixed practice and has since been in small animal practice. She is keen to focus on both small animal medicine and surgery and hopes to complete further qualifications over the next few years. Lu lives in Salisbury with her partner Chris and their four dogs. She enjoys spending time with friends and family, walking her dogs and keeping fit.
Registered Veterinary Nurses (RVNs)
Lindsay French RVN – Bournemouth / Salisbury
Lindsay has been a Veterinary Nurse for the past eight years. This time has been spent working at small animal veterinary surgeries in the Bournemouth and Poole area. Her interests are in developing nursing clinics. This allows you to obtain free nursing advice by appointment on matters such as nutrition, weight control, dental concerns, care of the elderly pet and rabbit health/husbandry. Sarah Howton RVN – Salisbury
Sarah is a registered Veterinary Nurse and qualified in 2008. She enjoys all areas of nursing but has a particular interest in small animal dentistry. She has recently become a BVNA certificate holder in this subject. In her spare time she enjoys playing and umpiring her favourite sport netball.
Sarah Johnson RVN – Bournemouth
Sarah has been veterinary nursing for fifteen years, the last seven of which have been at an advanced veterinary hospital. Her interests are surgical nursing and she has extensive experience of surgical assistance including thoracic and spinal surgery. Whilst maintaining a high level of animal care she also enjoys advising owners on pet health. Through owning a wide range of pets and with a wealth of experience to draw on she will be able to help with any questions you may have. Sarah and Ben were married in Cyprus in May of 2010 and their daughter Tia was born in October of 2011.
Vicky Nicholls RVN – Bournemouth / Salisbury
Vicky graduated with a degree in veterinary nursing science in 2007. She has been working as a veterinary nurse for the past eight years. Vicky’s main interests are in surgical nursing and rehabilitation. Vicky has recently moved to Dorset with her husband. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, including her two cats, Archie & Betty.

Carrie-Anne Arnull – Bournemouth
Carrie has been working with animals over the past six years in two local veterinary practices as assistant nurse and receptionist. In her free time she enjoys walking her Boxer dog Holly and socialising with friends. As receptionist for The Pet Practice she looks forward to meeting all the pets and their owners plus answering any questions you may have.
